Hello my stamping friends... I'm back with a simple card design today, using the Christmas Rose stamp set and coordinating dies. This beautiful stamp set is part of a *NEW* product suite that Stampin' Up! is offering November 1-30, 2019. It's called the Christmas Time is Here Bundle and its' coming soon!! I'm treating you to a sneak peek of the bundle elements today!!
Here is a video of a card I made using these products, as well as a sneak peek of the bundle elements. This FLYER shows the products in more detail, including pricing.
Let's take a closer look at the card I made...
So for this card I used a base card of whisper white. In keeping with the Clean+Simple theme I didn't want too many layers and instead opted for more white space. I will use some of the gorgeous papers when I do a product highlight of this suite in November, so stay tuned!!
So I started with a base card of whisper white and a panel of whisper white. I stamped the rose image in Cherry Cobbler ink. The key to getting the right look when you're using the distinktive style images is to not over ink the image. Even if it means stamping it off once to get the right amount of ink. Some ink pads are juicier than others so it's going to depend on the color you're using and the ink pad in your stash.
I then chose Old Olive for the greenery. I stamped this sort of randomly around the top of the rose image sometimes twice before re-inking the stamp in order to get some variety in dark and light, then stamped one last sprig toward the bottom right of the rose to fill in that space. I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink on a Sahara Sand panel cut from one of the label dies in the coordinating Christmas Rose die set. I added the sentiment panel to the card base using dimensional adhesive to pop it up. I added a few of the gold glitter enamel dots to add some sparkle-- and it looked fine, but then I thought to add the die cut of the pine sprig out of Old Olive card stock from the Pine Boughs die set and that REALLY finished off the card. I love it!! I hope you do too...
