Clean + Simple Card: True Beauty with Watercolor Spritz Technique

Updated: Jul 29, 2022

Ladies, this is probably one of the prettiest cards I've made in a while. I have paired the True Beauty bundle with a Watercolor Spritz technique and really love the results. You can watch me demonstrate the technique HERE, or follow along below for a closer look at the cards I designed for this post.

The clean and simple card for today came together in a snap and the technique I'm sharing on this card is another oldie-but-a-goodie. I don't often think to use this technique but it does render some artsy-looking results.

These cards are so elegant and I love the gold accents in the Simply Elegant Trim that I added under the sentiment strip, and also the gold foil sprigs I added to the bumped up version of the card. This would be a great set for making wedding cards, shower cards and even your own wedding invitations! I will probably make some shower and wedding cards for my craft fair offerings using these products.

In the video I share details for how to achieve a fun, watercolor look to the flowers by inking up the stamp and then spritzing it with water before stamping it down. It's actually fun to stamp it multiple times without re-inking to see the different effect that's achieved. Try this one for some fun with watercolor!!

Before I sign off for today...

Just wanted to share a reminder that the Sweet Sunflowers Paper Pumpkin kit is still available for purchase. This one ships out 8/11, so order it now to be sure you don't miss out. You can order just this one month if you want to give Paper Pumpkin a try! No subscription needed. I think you'll love the quality of these paper-crafting box kits. They are fun to work on in the evenings and great for vacations because everything you need is in the box (except for a pair of scissors and maybe a moist paper towel for cleaning off your stamps when you're finished. ) So fun ---and this is a great kit to try if you love Sunflowers. You can order your one month pre-paid kit by visiting HERE. If you decide to opt-in for a 3-month pre-paid, you'll also get to choose a Sale-a-Bration freebie!!

Thanks for checking out the card this week!! I'll be back next Sunday with another clean + simple card design, plus more watercolor tips.
