This week I'm sharing another pretty card using the Hand-Penned Suite of products by Stampin' Up! You can watch the card assembly video HERE, or keep reading for all the details...
This is another one of those cards that starts with a basic white base card with a few strips of designer series paper added. Instead of die cutting a circle or rectangle and using an embossing folder to create a textured platform for my stamped images, I cut a large foliage die cut using the Forever Flourishing dies. I cut this from the same basic white card stock as the card base, to add some interesting texture. I stamped the outline of the bouquet using Basic Grey ink and then colored in the stamped outline with the fill-in stamps using Pale Papaya. So Saffron and Garden Green inks. I die cut the bouquet using the coordinating die and added it to the base card, offset from the Forever Flourishing sprig, using dimensional adhesive.
The fill-in images that color in the bouquet don't line up perfectly. They're meant to be offset to give the images a more artsy look. I added a sentiment panel and some of the Genial Gems from the Suite to finish of the card. The colors in the DSP are so gorgeous and there is such a variety! I love to pull colors out of the DSP when I make cards... it makes putting the right colors together so easy.
I hope you enjoyed the card this week!
