Clean + Simple Card: Darling Donkeys - Sale-A-Bration 2021

Hey friends it's time to Sale-A-Brate with Stampin' Up! I'm sooo excited this sale is finally underway and hope you'll enjoy all of the fun FREE PRODUCT you can earn during January and February!!

Today I'm sharing a card idea that features one of the FREE stamp sets being offered as part of SAB--- the Darling Donkeys stamp set! You can earn this cute set for free with a $50 purchase out of the Jan-June Mini Catalog or the regular Annual Catalog. For a free PDF of each of these catalogs go HERE.

For the card today, I'm combining a few fun products from the Annual Stampin' Up! catalog. The card video I made showing how I put the card together is HERE.

I started with a base card in Basic White and then took a Basic White panel of cardstock and ran it through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine using the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder. This gives it a subtle texture of the shiplap and a farmhouse base to place the wreath element. I cut the wreath shape using the Wreath Builder Dies and a scrap of Granny Apple Green card stock. I used the Multipurpose glue to attach the embossed panel and the wreath to the base card and then moved on to the stamping and coloring...

I stamped the donkey image and the sentiment from the Darling Donkeys stamp set onto a stitched rectangle panel using Momento Black ink. This ink works great when you're planning to color with our Stampin' Blends markers. The marker colors I chose include Granny Apple Green combo, Crumb Cake combo, Light smokey slate and Light petal pink,

I offset the wreath a little to the left and the stitched rectangle colored panel a little to the right so that more of the wreath was showing on the card front. For the finishing touch, I added a linen tread bow with a mini glue dot.

I love how this card came out and can't wait to send it to a friend with a note inside. This period of pandemic isolation is hard on a lot of my friends, and I know happy mail is helping to lift their spirits, especially with the holidays over and winter settling in now. I encourage you to send your handmade cards and put a little sunshine in someone's mailbox!

Thanks so much for checking out my card for today!
