Hello there! I'm back today for another clean and simple Sunday card, this week featuring stamps, dies and patterned paper from the Gather Together Suite in the Stampin' Up! 2019 Holiday Catalog. You can watch the video and see how this card came together HERE.
So the card for today was inspired by the soft neutrals in the Gather Together paper packet. I knew I wanted to make a card using the big leaf and strips of patterned paper and I thought this color scheme gave a fresh, modern twist to an Autumn-themed greeting card.
I started with a base card of Whisper White Thick cut to 8.5x5.5' and folded that in half. I cut two strips of the patterned paper---one .5x3" and one 1x4.5" and trimmed up the ends. I glued those strips flat onto the base card near the bottom.
I then stamped the largest leaf image in the set using Early Espresso ink onto a scrap of Sahara Sand card stock and used the coordinating die to cut out the shape. I attached this to the base card using dimensional adhesive, toward the bottom left of the card front.
I used Pretty Peacock ink to stamp the "Wishing you Well" greeting. I then finished off the card with two different embellishments---a little bow of linen thread at the base of the big leaf, attached with a glue dot, and a few basic jewel rhinestones to add a touch of sparkle.
I hope you enjoyed the card for today!! I always appreciate your feedback and welcome your comments below. If you'd like to purchase any of the items I used to make this card, you can SHOP HERE. Thank you!
